Lessons
in Art no longer exists except as the underpainting to Shrimp?.
I extensively re-worked Lessons in Art transforming it into
a very different piece. While I liked Lessons in Art
at the time of its completion and considered it a finished work,
in 2001 I looked at it with fresh eyes. I felt that it could be
improved. It one of several pieces in what I call my "paint
overs" series.
